Grace Coddington has been named as the recipient of the ‘Fashion and Beauty Lifetime Achievement Award' at this year's Clio Awards.

The creative director at large of US Vogue will be presented the award by actress and fashion darling Elle Fanning at the upcoming ceremony on September 27.

Coddington first made her mark on the fashion industry as a model, before going on to work at British Vogue. She joined the US version of the publication in 1988, where she rose to the position of Creative Director -- a role she left last year to concentrate on other artistic opportunities. She has since worked with Tiffany & Co, released her fourth fashion tome "Grace: The American Vogue Years," starred in a campaign for Calvin Klein and released her debut fragrance ‘Grace by Grace Coddington' in partnership with Comme des Garçons.

This is not the first time Coddington's significant contribution to the fashion industry has been recognized -- in 2002 she was awarded the Council of Fashion Designers of America's ‘Lifetime Achievement Award', and in 2009 she was honored by the British Fashion Awards with the prestigious ‘Isabella Blow Award'.

The annual Clio Awards celebrate creativity within the realms of advertising, design and communication, with Gucci, Balmain, H&M and L'Oreal Paris amongst the multiple brands honored for 2017.

The 2017 Clio Awards will take place on September 27 in New York.
