The FA and Nike entered into a sponsorship deal in 2012, which made the sportswear giant the kit supplier for Club England’s 24 football teams, including men’s, women’s, Futsal, disability and amateur. The company also sponsors St. George’s Park and is supporting partner of Wembley Stadium and the FA Cup. Nike replaced Umbro as FA’s sponsor.

The new sponsorship deal builds on the existing partnership and adds that the FA will receive penalties if it fails to reach major tournaments.

In October, Nike signed a long-term partnership with Chelsea for £60 million ($76.1 million) a season, double what Adidas has been paying the ball club. Adidas’ deal with Chelsea will end on June 30, 2017.

In addition, FC Barcelona opened a new two-level store with Nike at Passeig de Gràcia in Barcelona on Monday. Nike and FC Barcelona extended their long-term kit deal to the end of 2023 with club members retaining the opportunity to vote for a five-year extension until the end of June 2028.
