Momofuku chef and founder David Chang has been a fan of Nike since the 1980s and came into contact with members of the skating community when he opened his now iconic New York City restaurant. The Momofuku sneaker is modeled after the restaurant chain’s dark denim aprons and features the restaurant chain’s Lucky Peach logo on the shoe’s heel. The sneaker’s sock liners also include the numbers 163 and 207, which represent the addresses of the Fuku and Ssäm Bar restaurants, both located in New York City.

The sneaker launched on Thursday at Momofuku’s Fuku restaurant in the East Village. Featuring an appearance by Chang himself, the launch lead to a line around the block in anticipation of to the 10am launch. The shoe, which retails for $110, is available today Friday at select Nike retailers.
