Designer Rick Owens will be opening a furniture exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles. The exhibition will include brand-new furniture pieces and sculptures by the prolific designer, as well as video installations.

The acclaimed fashion designer will be showing Rick Owens: Furniture, alongside work from musician and artist Steven Parrinos. The exhibition was created in collaboration with Owens’ wife Michelle Lamy.

Owen's furniture pieces are inspired by modernist design, brutalist architecture, monochrome painting, minimal art, and avant-garde dance. The garment designer turned furniture designer chooses to work with marble, alabaster, bronze, ox bone, leather, concrete, and plywood to create his pieces.

This isn’t Owens first gallery exhibit of his furniture design work. In 2015, the designer was featured at the Musee d’art Moderne de Ville de Paris alongside Carol Rama.  Owens is known for his over-the-top, performance art-driven runway shows.

The exhibit will run from December 17th, 2016 to April 2nd, 2017 at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles.
