Stella McCartney bets on beauty with new fragrance

British fashion label Stella McCartney is set to launch a new fragrance this summer 2016, introducing the scent of a new generation.

“POP is a spirit. It is about capturing and celebrating that very special and exciting time when you are finding yourself and coming into your own. It is about freedom, and starting your life away from judgements or labels. Together as one, these strong young women are a force to be reckoned with,” said the designer.

The scent, which combines tuberose with sandalwood, is designed to inspire a free spirited attitude and celebrate friendship. Its campaign photos were shot by Glen Luchford, a renowned photographer who has also collaborated with the brand on a previous project, while the campaign video was directed by Grammy Award-winning director, Melina Matsoukas.

The campaign stars four young creative talents: Canadian singer-songwriter Grimes (a.k.a Claire Boucher), US actress and campaigner Amandla Stenberg, model and animal activist Kenya Kinski Jones and  Madonna’s daughter, Lourdes “Lola” Leon.

Pop’s bottle draws inspiration from Stella McCartney’s signature medallion and its accompanying shower gel and body lotion come in a 100% recycled plastic tube.
