CoverGirl is teaming up with the hit Fox TV show "Empire" on a glamorous new cosmetics collection.

The beauty giant has tapped into the cult series to come up with a range of diverse beauty looks that reflect the hip-hop themed show's leading female cast members Grace Gealey, Gabourey Sidibe, Serayah, and Kaitlin Doubleday.

The brand first announced the news on Instagram, saying: "Power, drama & intrigue rule the #Empire...but not your makeup bag. Excited to announce that COVERGIRL has partnered with @EmpireFox on a limited-edition product collection & four stunning yet #easybreezy beauty looks inspired by the hit show's leading ladies."

The limited-edition US collection covers eyes, lips and base, with star products including the new ‘Queen Collection Stay Luscious Lipstick' ($7.99), which boasts a waterproof formula designed to lock in color and moisture and comes in 10 bold, attitude-laden hues with names including ‘Throne' and ‘Duchess'.

The new ‘Queen Collection False Lash Drama Mascara' ($6.74) features a transformative double-sided brush designed to bring ‘even the smallest lashes to life', while a line up of six new ‘Eye Shadow Quads' allow users to build pigment for a soft or more dramatic look. The range will also include a pressed powder, a range of shimmery highlighters and a series of metallic eyeliners.

"Empire is not only a pop culture phenomenon, but the characters' fashion and beauty looks also play a starring role," explains the brand, which is famous for harnessing pop culture figures for its collections. In January the group announced it had signed 19 year-old singer, songwriter and actress Zendaya to be the face of its brand, while last year saw the company unveil a special ‘Star Wars' collection timed with the release of the blockbuster "Star Wars: The Force Awakens."

A release date for the collection has yet to be confirmed, but the spring season of "Empire" premieres on March 30, so stay tuned.
