The worlds of watchmaking and jewelry are abuzz as the two industries prepare for their major annual trade show in Basel, Switzerland. Accessible brands, luxury labels and watchmaking specialists will be coming together in the Swiss city, March 17-24, to give the industry a snapshot of what to expect in stores throughout 2016. As well as presenting new products, the event is a showcase for watchmaking innovation, with fresh design, new complications and cutting-edge technical achievements all closely studied by the industry's key players.

In a 141,000 sq m exhibition space, over 1,500 exhibitors from 40 countries will unveil their latest creations, some of which have been under development for months, or even years for the biggest technical innovations.

A whole host of watchmakers have already started previewing the watches they'll be bringing to Baselworld, for a taste of what's to come from this upcoming edition.

Hublot, Gucci, Tissot, Balmain, Blancpain, Rolex, Chopard, TAG Heuer, Bulgari, Boucheron, Fendi, Seiko, Dior Timepieces, Chanel, Swarovski, Festina and many more brands will be presenting new collections during the week-long event -- the year's biggest trade show for the global watchmaking industry.

Baselworld 2016 runs March 17-24, 2016, and is held at the Messe Basel exhibition center in Basel, Switzerland.
