Agent Provocateur has launched a swimwear pop-up at Harrods that’s open until June 20 with the intimates specialist saying that the luxury London department store is a key outlet for the brand’s products.

Given that the label is best known for its lingerie rather than its swim offer, at this time of year a high-profile pop-up “is a great opportunity to showcase the swimwear outside of our retail space,” the company told Fashion Network.

The exclusive swimwear pop-up is a first for Agent Provocateur and Harrods and has been designed to stand out in the retailer’s swimwear department “as an exciting escapist experience for shoppers to immerse themselves and step into summer.”

The temporary shop comes with “distinctly Agent Provocateur finishing touches such as trademark leopard print rugs, pink and verdant plants,” while “expert Agents” are on-hand to advise customers.

It comes as part of the brand’s Pleasure Patrol swimwear campaign that is “filled with high energy [and] dives into summer with an exuberant attitude, encouraging every wearer to rid themselves of their inhibitions.”

Under the creative direction of Sarah Shotton, the swim collection features quirky bikinis in brights and "power pieces in abundance” with 80s-inspired high-leg designs, along with “timeless black pieces given an AP-style twist.” There’s also a selection of beach-to-bar cover-ups and dresses.
