Burberry launches Christmas campaign starring Shakira and Burna Boy
Burberry on Wednesday launched its festive campaign with the debut of The Night Before – described as “a celebration of the excitement and anticipation of festive preparations”.
The buzz of the season has been captured by TORSO in a “fast-paced film where familiar moments of festive preparations are imagined through a distinctive Burberry lens: confidently individual, daringly original and free”.
It stars Shakira and Burna Boy, each of them making their Burberry campaign debut.
The company says each of the film’s stars “embody their own interpretation of the exhilaration of the night before”.
It comes as multiple episodes in which gifts in Burberry House Check “pile upon each other as Burna Boy strides across freshly fallen snow, musicians rehearse to the rhythm of the season, [and] Shakira stands on formal dinner tables that transform into a Burberry runway – the ultimate setting for self-expression and new takes on festive traditions”.
As for the products, there’s outerwear including duffle coats in birch brown Burberry Check and beige car coats; eveningwear that includes tulle gowns with the Equestrian Knight Design and oak leaf crest in crystals; as well as classic menswear suits printed and jacquard-woven with the Equestrian Knight Design. Accessories also “shimmer with metallic finishes and light-catching crystals”.
