Burberry has unveiled a new campaign for Riccardo Tisci’s third TB Summer Monogram collection, with high-profile model Naomi Campbell as its star.

Tisci said he “wanted to celebrate the balance of our heritage with the importance of always evolving and looking forwards. The collection captures that optimistic feeling of summer and that feeling of constant momentum, the excitement for what’s next”.

And he added that he “couldn’t think of anyone better to symbolise this enduring nature than my incredible friend Naomi Campbell. Naomi has this transcendental energy and beauty that embodies both a timeless classicism as well as the vitality of summer”.

The campaign “captures a journey between worlds, fusing the classicism of stills imagery with the modernity of CGI technology”.

The stills were captured by photographer Danko Steiner with Campbell standing “strong atop architectural plinths reflected in mirrored water – a starkly minimalist reinterpretation of coastal terrains”.

The campaign imagery “seamlessly morphs into a dream-like digital realm in the campaign video”, created by visual artist Frederik Heyman. It features a CGI embodiment of Campbell. The company said “beautiful structures meld nature and machine, as suspended shell sculptures rise from crafted seaside environments. A futuristic, harmonious vision, connecting serenity and adventure – inspiring us to dream, discover, be bold and go beyond”.

As well as Steiner and Heyman, the creative team behind the campaign included stylist Catherine Baba, make-up artist Adam Fleischhauer and hair stylist Jawara.

The TB Monogram was first unveiled almost two years ago and this latest collection debuts online and at selected Burberry stores globally from Friday.
