CIFF, the Danish fashion tradeshow that consists of a number of different subsections, including CIFF Raven, (menswear) CIFF Kids, CIFF Showrooms and CIFF Shoes, reported a 10% increase in visitor numbers for its latest edition, which took place in Copenhagen on February 3-5.

The company said the latest edition looks to be "the strongest and most qualitative show to date" and that it welcomed buyers, press and industry professionals from all over the world.

“Our hard work and dedication towards our creative and talented exhibitors, and taking the time to form close relationships to the best buyers and press from around the world has paid off. Not only was the show sold out before Christmas, but more importantly the numbers of buyers from the UK, Germany and Norway showed an impressive increase, all above 30%. This season we can really say that we have reached our goal of pushing Copenhagen into the international spotlight and creating a globally relevant destination,” says Kristian W. Andersen, Director and Creative Director of CIFF, CIFF RAVEN, KIDS and SHOWROOMS.

The February edition of the show had been sold out since December 2015, so it is safe to say that anticipation was high. “Other trade shows I've visited in the past have felt dull, repetitive and pretty uninspiring, so it was great to see the guys at CIFF doing something different, and trying to inject some energy into proceedings with the talks and live performances. The venue itself was great, as was the well-curated portfolio of brands in CIFF RAVEN and it's impressive to see the sheer scale of ambition for future events and the surrounding area. I look forward to returning next season,” said Charlie Teasdale, Deputy Style Editor at UK Esquire.

“CIFF continues to go from strength to strength, never resting on its past success and continually looking to improve, without destroying its core commercial foundations. Like a well made cake, it is made up of layer upon layer of tasty treats, all different, yet complimenting each other. One of the best curated shows of the season by far!!!” said Dylan Ross, Lead Buyer Trend and Nordics at Zalando.

CIFF Kids was also fully booked and showcased over 300 brands, 70 of which were exhibiting at the tradeshow for the first time. It reported an increase in visitors of more than 50% on all three days compared to 2015.

The next edition of CIFF and CIFF Kids is on August 10-12.
