Online resale specialist StockX has noted a number of trends ahead of Black Friday with comfort being key and shoppers on the marketplace particularly interested in Telfar (which collaborated with Ugg), Rick Owens, Clot and Parra, as well as anything by Kanye.

Having analysed search trends, it said searches for Telfar were up 1,050% year-on-year in the last month with Rick Owens ahead by 520%, Clot up 350% and Parra up 180%.

Other brands seeing spikes (albeit smaller ones) include New Balance and Sacai that have both risen 100%, Ugg up 80% and Panini that’s up 70%.

As well as this, it has identified a strong ongoing trend for consumers to seek comfort clothing and accessories that began during the pandemic lockdowns.

As mentioned, Telfar that feeds into this trend is soaring at present and Ugg searches have risen fast, while “the polarising Yeezy Foam Runners have also seen a search increase of 1,750%”. This took ‘foam runner’ from number 1,143 on the search list a year ago to 68 this October.

In fact, the company said “Kanye’s grip on the fashion world shows no sign of loosening with searches for ‘Kanye’ on StockX increasing by 90%”.

Meanwhile fashion designer Jeremy Scott, known for his pop culture influence, has seen a 1,720% increase in searches. Searches for Playboi Carti (+550%) and Daniel Arsham (+220%) have also risen strongly.
