Delvaux appoints Christina Zeller artistic director

Delvaux is giving a boost to its development by strengthening the role of Christina Zeller, its current product and merchandising director, who has now been named artistic director.

Christina Zeller

Zeller joined the Belgian leather goods brand in 2011, when Delvaux was acquired by First Heritage Brands, an investment company owned by the Hong Kong-based group Fung Brands (Li & Fung), and which also owns Sonia Rykiel and Robert Clergerie. Within a few years, Christina Zeller was able to revive Delvaux’s products while energetically supporting Delvaux in its recovery.

"Christina Zeller has been instrumental in redefining the brand’s collections and marketing. Since we are accelerating our international development and have imposed creative standards requiring quality and balance with deference to a deeply rooted history, it’s only natural to put her in charge of artistic direction," said the House in a statement .

In fact, Zeller, who is French, already oversaw the design team that succeeded the former artistic director Veronique Branquinho, who concluded her work with the brand in spring-summer 2012. With this promotion, her position and the strategy she has implemented will be reinforced.
