Diego Della Valle really seems to be heading towards a political career. Even though he has denied his intentions on this matter several times, the CEO of luxury group Tod’s has officially deposited a logo called "Noi italiani [We Italians]" to the trademark office of the country’s Ministry of Economic Development in the category regarding the organisation of a party, according to Italian weekly news magazine L’Espresso.

Over the years, Diego Della Valle (61) has often taken part in political debates, but he has really become involved in the last few months, actively challenging economics-based discussions, notably accusing the government of not providing enough assistance to entrepreneurs.

He even went so far as to say that he is ready to present a list of ministers to put an end to the cabinet of Matteo Renzi (centre left). Last November, the shoemaker said: "Two more months and the country dies. An election has to be held right away."

The logo for this new political movement features the slogan "Noi italiani [We Italians]" in blue lettering against a yellow background circled by the colours of the Italian flag. An expression used several times these last few months by the CEO of Tod's during his impassioned televised interpositions.
