Dior this week opened its first retail location in Chicago at 931 N. Rush Street.

The luxury fashion house was first reported to be opening a boutique in the city in 2015. Located across from the Waldorf Astoria and nearby Brunello Cucinelli, the Dior Chicago store carries the full women’s collection, including ready-to-wear and a shoe salon on the second floor and accessories on the first floor.

The flagship location resembles the atelier’s Paris flagship at Avenue Montaigne, with a frit glass façade, and is the second North American flagship to feature a star on the exterior. In addition, an iron sculpture by Julie Gauthron made exclusively for the store serves as a focal point of the interior.

Dior opened the Chicago flagship just days after Sidney Toledano said is resigning as CEO of the fashion house. He will be succeeded by Pietro Beccari, who currently serves as CEO of Fendi.
