It’s a link-up with origins in two steamy parts of America and Italy - New Orleans and Sicily.

Dolce & Gabbana have created a unisex capsule collection with ace rapper, producer and media favorite DJ Khaled, a 45-year-old star of Palestinian origin who grew up in New Orleans, though mainly resides in a waterfront home in Miami. Inspired by his own home and lifestyle, the DJ even designed a new luxury furniture line.

The new fashion collection, which includes ready-to-wear, beachwear and accessories, begins retailing on March 15th in select Dolce & Gabbana boutiques and on the duo’s e-commerce site. Given DJ Khaled's substantial stature, the clothes are available up to Italian size 60, or XXL in the USA, the Milan fashion house was careful to note in a release.

Incorporating the palms, flowers and the bright colors of South Beach and the historic charm of Miami’s downtown, the collection also blends the key haute baroque codes in the DNA of Dolce & Gabbana.

Like Coco Chanel, Khaled loves a lion – even using it as a cover of one of his albums – and the wild beast is worked into this collection framed by florals, bold stripes and polka dots.

A second theme features murals and graffiti bundled up with bougainvillea flowers and agave leaves, reflecting the unique architecture and gardens of Miami, which contained elements of  south Italian classicism and tropical influences.

"I’m excited to announce this amazing new collection I have been working on with Dolce & Gabbana. It has been a lifelong dream of mine to collaborate with Stefano and Domenico, and this collection showcases a fun blend of my classic Miami style and the high fashion of Dolce & Gabbana," said DJ Khaled, whose most famous video – 'Popstar,' with 176 million views, also stars Drake and Justin Bieber.

Added Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana: "DJ Khaled's energy and passion greatly impressed us: working with him on this special project was a new and exciting experience."
