After a visit to Alibaba’s offices, the Director of Direcon, Andres Rebolledo, said this agreement is the result of several months of negotiation between both sides. The program’s next step is to inform Chilean businesses about the potential benefits of the deal and agree on operational procedures so that companies can access the platform.

Brian Wong, vice president of Alibaba Group, said: "Chile is known for the quality of its agricultural products. We will help further increase these product’s presence in China through our local cuisine, as our consumers are constantly seeking to explore new cultures and experiences."
