Asos and Fashion Scout have teamed up again to launch the 2017 Fashion Discovery Competition. Open to emerging fashion companies, the competition aims to find the next big talent.

Lingerie brand Elissa Poppy was one of the winners of last year's Fashion Discovery - Asos

Only companies registered in the UK and which have been trading for less than five years can compete for the prize.

The winners will be selected by panel of judges including Susie Bubble founder Susanna Lau; Asos CEO Nick Beighton; Lazy Oaf founder Gemma Shiel; Stylus journalist Katie Baron and Asos womenswear director Jo Hunt.

The winners will receive a grant of £50,000, plus one-on-one mentoring from industry experts. An edit of their collections will be also sold on Asos for at least two consecutive seasons, and winners will be featured in editorial content.

The public will also have the opportunity to select their favourite brand and vote online for the People’s Pick. The winner will have its brand stocked on the online site for one season.

Lingerie label Elissa Poppy and womenswear brand Hanger won the inaugural Fashion Discovery competition last year. Elissa Poppy will see her lingerie designs debut on Asos this September.

Applications close on 30 October.
