He moves from Lacoste Footwear, which is a joint venture with Pentland Brands. While there, he drove the expansion of the product offer with the first pro tennis shoe debuting under his remit. He was also heavily focused on product re-engineering, sustainability, and 3D technology.

Other roles on his impressive CV include omnichannel MD for EMEA at the Deckers-owned Ugg brand and Coach’s vice-president for Europe.

FitFlop’s USP is the wellness element built in to all of its pieces and Ganni said of his new role that it’s a “one-of-a-kind opportunity in footwear, with the zeitgeist shifting fast toward wellness, health, alignment and balance”. And he said there’s “magic running through this brand’s DNA and, in a world where wellbeing has come into fast focus, quality of life starting with exceptionally engineered shoes makes a lot of sense”.

And brand founder Marcia Kilgore said he brings “energy, enthusiasm and expertise” that will help the company to continue “building on our strengths to create the world’s biggest — and of course best — wellness footwear brand”.
