The French delivery network Mondial Relay, now owned by the Polish group InPost, is launching an application dedicated to the deposit, tracking and collection of deliveries. The aim is to facilitate the exchange of parcels between e-tailers and customers, as well as between private individuals.

The launch of this application was announced in June, on the occasion of Mondial Relay's 25th anniversary. This anniversary was an opportunity for the network of 12,000 Relay points and 1,400 automatic lockers to unveil a new visual identity.

The application is intended to make parcel collection more fluid, by means of a QR code to be presented instead of an ID card. The device should also guide the user in the selection of collection points, which are sometimes saturated, as well as allow for contactless opening of the network's automatic lockers.

With 1,300 employees, Mondial Relay is pursuing its strategy of facilitating parcel delivery between individuals. This is a way for the network to build loyalty among its users and also to capture a growing share of orders placed with the 105,000 or so sales portals that offer delivery by Mondial Relay.

Mondial Relay also intends to build customer loyalty through the deployment of the Mondial Relay Express offer for next-day delivery. In addition, the delivery network has set itself the objective of passing the milestone of 2,000 automated lockers by the end of the year, thus multiplying its offer of collection points available day and night.
