Furla has recalled its former managing director Eraldo Poletto to resume his former post. Poletto had left the company in early November 2012 to become CEO of Alred Dunhill, owned by the Richemont group. During his three-year tenure at Furla, he had guided its expansion on international markets.

Now the executive is back with the historic leather goods brand from Bologna as managing director, "in light of major development plans that will focus on accelerating growth and an expansion of the company,” said Furla in a statement.

Furla’s choice confirms “its appreciation and esteem for the top manager and the previous work he had successfully performed and the ambitious results he achieved,” says the brand.

Furla ended fiscal year 2012 with 18% growth and 212 million euros in sales, driven by a strategy mainly focused on international business (76% of sales) and an 28% increase in its gross operating income to 32 million euros.
