H&M is upping its sports links this month, launching ‘Edition by Héctor Bellerín’, a sustainable men’s collection made in close collaboration with the Arsenal FC and Spain star, described as “one of the world’s most inspiring footballers”, by the Swedish fashion giant.

It’s the latest in the brand’s Edition concept collection for men, which encapsulates each season’s key looks.

“Bellerín is as famous for his style as for his commitment to the environment, and Edition by Héctor Bellerín will be entirely made from sustainably sourced materials”, said H&M.

It said Bellerín has been involved in every stage of the design process, “from the choice of sustainable fabrics to the directional take on spring style”.

H&M said Bellerín’s signature influence is felt throughout the collection, from “oversized streetwear and utilitarian pieces to the sharp new update of timeless men’s staples”. Muted earth tones feature alongside playful graphics, it added.

Bellerín said of the collection: “Fashion is like activism, and our clothes can spread a positive message to others”.

Edition by Héctor Bellerín will be available on hm.com and in selected stores from 18 February.
