For its latest collection, Jimmy Lion took inspiration from the cultural icon of the 80's Jean-Michel Basquiat, who died in 1988 at the age of 27 and is considered one of the most important artists of the 20th century. As of Thursday, December 1, the line designed for streetwear and urban art lovers is available in the brand's stores and on its online platform.

The collection is now available in the brand's stores and online shop - Jimmy Lion

Using some of the artist's best artworks as references, the label created six different designs, three of which are 'casual' and three of which are 'athletic'. The socks feature some of his masterpieces such as Batman; Crown, which displays the three-pointed crown that served as Basquiat's trademark; Pez Dispenser, which depicts a dinosaur wearing a crown; Six Fifty, a collage featuring lightning bolts, words and faces on a pink background; and Sugar Ray Robinson, which displays the famous boxer wearing the iconic crown.

Founded by Spaniards Felipe Cortina and Álvaro Gomis in 2014, the digital-native brand opened its first store in 2018 on Madrid's Calle Fuencarral. Since then, it has opened two more points of sale, in Madrid and Barcelona.

Distributed in more than 50 countries worldwide through its e-commerce, Jimmy Lion has official offices in Madrid, Mexico and New York. Financially, the brand recorded a 40% growth in its last fiscal year, with a net turnover of 5 million euros.
