L'Oréal elevates four executives from India management to SAPMENA leadership roles

French cosmetics and personal care brand L'Oréal has promoted four executives in its India management team to take on regional leadership roles in the South Asia Pacific, Middle East, and North Africa (SAPMENA) zone.

On Monday, L'Oréal announced that it has chosen four Indian executives, namely Aalok Oke, Kavita Angre, Yogesh Suradkar, and Rajesh Gopal, to take on critical roles central to L’Oréal’s global growth strategy. The move shows the importance the international business has placed on its India team. 
 
“It is testimony to India's unique position as a talent hub for L'Oréal globally,” said the business’ managing director for India, Amit Jain, the Press Trust of India reported. “The experience of these leaders having worked in a diverse and complex market like India is an important asset and will help shape L'Oreal's beauty leadership and transformative growth across the SAPMENA zone.”

Aalok Oke has been promoted from director of India operations to deputy director of operations for the SAPMENA region. L'Oréal India’s director for consumer and market insights and media, Kavita Angre, will now lead consumer and market insights for SAPMENA. In her new role, Angre will also be responsible for the region’s merger and acquisition opportunities.
 
The role of research and innovation for India and SAPMENA has been entrusted to Yogesh Suradkar. Finally, L'Oréal India’s chief information officer Rajesh Gopal has been given the additional role of chief information officer for the Middle East and North Africa, according to the business.
