Lands’ End announced on Monday the appointment of Jerome Griffith as Chief Executive Officer, effective March 6, 2017. The former Tumi President and CEO will also join the Lands’ End Board of Directors.

Griffith will succeed Joseph Boitano and James Gooch, who served as Co-Interim CEOs since September 26, 2016 following the departure of Federica Marchionni. Boitano and Gooch will remain as Co-Interim CEOs until March 6, 2017.

The new CEO held executive positions at numerous companies including Gap, Espirit, and Tommy Hilfiger. He served as President of Retail at the J. Peterman Company, a catalog-based apparel and retail company; Executive Vice President at Tommy Hilfiger; COO and President of Espirit North and South America at Espirit; and most recently President and CEO at Tumi. Griffith is also a member of the board of VINCE, Tom Tailor SE, Samsonite and Parsons, The New School of Design.

Lands’ End posted disappointing third quarter results in December, which included a net loss of $7.2 million and a decrease in net revenue. Despite the performance, the company was pleased with its cost management and inventory levels, which should aid in the implementation of its initiatives.
