Fashion label Libertine is swapping the catwalks of New York for the West Coast.

The brand, which spans menswear and womenswear and was founded in 2001 by the designer Johnson Hartig, is putting on a show in its native LA for the first time on April 26 to showcase its Fall 2019 collection. The event will take place at the city's historic Wilshire Ebell Theatre, which has been in operation since 1927.

The show will also offer fashion fans the first look at the house's collaboration with the Jimi Hendrix estate, comprising pieces inspired by the iconic musician that have been designed by his sister Janie.

Libertine is the latest in a long list of major fashion labels opting to show their collections in LA; Rodarte, Tommy Hilfiger, Rebecca Minkoff and Jeremy Scott have all taken to the runway in the city over recent years.
