Loewe is gaining ground in the Middle East: the Spanish luxury brand has opened a shop in Dubai Mall, the largest shopping centre in the world in terms of total surface area.

Casa Loewe Dubai carries the brand's ready-to-wear and accessories collections and, in keeping with the brand's art gallery-like retail concept, merges art with fashion.

According to Loewe's LinkedIn page, the boutique displays ceramic plates by South African artist and potter Hylton, the sculpture "Kado" (2018) by Kazuhito Takadoi, made from hawthorn twigs and waxed linen twine, the tapestry "White horse" by John Allen, and the oil painting "Bushes with blue flowers" by Bill Lynch.

"Under the curatorial eye of creative director Jonathan Anderson, hand-selected works from Loewe's expanding anthology of international art and craft are found throughout the space," said the brand.

This store is the latest in a string of other recent Loewe openings, such as its first shop in the Netherlands, located in Amsterdam and inaugurated in December last year. The brand also opened a space in the KaDeWe department store in Berlin in 2022 and reopened the doors of its boutique in New York's SoHo.

The brand, now owned by French luxury conglomerate LVMH, is currently expanding its business and growing, and in 2021 (the latest year for which figures are available), sales rose by 38% to €456 million.
