Louis Vuitton has chosen the highly experienced Bianca Manley Amzelek to be its new global head of press.

A seasoned and elegant executive, Manley Amzelek will join Vuitton next year from Chanel, where she was associate director of international press and VIP relations based in New York.

Manley Amzelek will report to Benjamin Cercio, who already handles press, influencer and entertainment relations for Vuitton, and she will be based in Vuitton’s headquarters in Paris. Cercio in turn reports to Stefano Cantino, who was appointed senior vice president communications and events at Vuitton in September, after spending 15 years at Prada.

None of these staffers responded to requests for comment by FashionNetwork.com but well-informed sources say Manley Amzelek will start at Vuitton in January.

Fluent in both her native French and English, Manley Amzelek has been with Chanel for the past six years, initially as a PR manager in the house’s international press department.

Prior to that, Manley Amzelek spent 17 months as a PR manager at Giorgio Armani, where she met her husband Rod Manley. A graduate of Eckerd College, Manley Amzelek began her career at Chanel in May 2006.

In a busy week for the Manley family, husband Rod was also poached this week from his position at Calvin Klein in New York to become the new chief marketing officer of Burberry in London.
