The label has converted its Soho store into the Maiyet Collective, which will stock brands in keeping with Maiyet’s principals as an ethical clothing manufacturer.

The change to Maiyet’s Crosby Street store comes after the staging of a similar pop-up shop in London last year.  The positive response from other ethical and sustainable fashion brands led Maiyet to want to establish a permanent space where like-minded brands could come together.

The new Maiyet Collective will stock clothing from brands such as Raven & Lily, Lois London and Stae, and sell a mix of clothing, makeup and accessories, as well as home items such as books and food. Other represented brands include Koja, a German, vertically-integrated clothing company, and Voz, which works with artisan women in Chile.

In the future, the ethical luxury brand hopes to host events to encourage a sense of community in the neighborhood and provide a meeting point for other members of the ethical fashion community.

In addition to its flagship store in Soho, Maiyet is also sold throughout the United States at stores such as Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus and Intermix. It is also available internationally in Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, the United Kingdom, Italy and Canada.
