New airport-style Duty-Free Shop opens in Mitsukoshi Ginza store

Japan Duty Free Fa-So-La Isetan Mitsukoshi Co. Ltd opened Japan Duty Free Ginza, Japan's first-ever (outside Okinawa) airport-style duty-free shop.

The duty-free shop is located on the 8th floor of the Mitsukoshi Ginza store and will exempts shoppers from customs duties, and consumption, liquor and tobacco taxes.

The airport-style duty-free shop will give inbound foreign travelers a new style of shopping and will allow travelers to be serviced by Japanese air passengers.
 
Japan Duty Free Ginza comprises six merchandise zones; Boutique (Luxury) Zone; Cosmetics & Perfume Zone; Time Valley (Watches) Zone; Liquor Zone; Cigarette Zone; and THE 800 Hands Japanese Beauty Zone (Japanese artisan items). Together they will offer shoppers over 30 boutiques to choose from. Brand names such as Valentino and Saint Laurent will also be available.

Some stores, such as Boucheron, will be the first boutique of its kind at any duty-free shop in the world, while shops like Albion, Vacheron Constantin and Roger Dubuis, will be the first of their kind in Japan.
 
Japan Duty Free Ginza covers a total sales area of approximately 3,300 square meters and will be open from 10:30 am to 8:00 pm.
