Off-White opens first American retail space

Off-White, headed by Virgil Abloh, is opening its first North American retail experience in West Hollywood, Los Angeles. The label, considered one of the most covetable brands in the streetwear world, currently has stores in Singapore, Japan, China, Britain, and South Korea.

Off-White for Maxfield - Maxfield

Opening December 8th, Off-White will now boast a West Hollywood retail location, situated across the street from famous art and fashion emporium Maxfield. Off-White will be one of two temporary stores run by Maxfield this year. The store will remain open into the new year, shuttering on January 29th.

Instead of stocking the brand’s mainline, the new brick-and-mortar location will stock pieces from Abloh’s furniture line (that debuted last weekend at Art Basel), and a special collection, called "Auction House", designed specifically for this location. The Los Angeles outpost is to be designed like an estate sale – the 36-piece Los Angeles capsule collection for the store is designed to look like it was found in a flea market.

Prices in the collection, which will cater to both men and women, will range from $92 for socks to $2,218 for a women’s miniskirt and a men’s overcoat.

Off-White is also rumored to be opening a New York City and a Toronto location, Abloh’s hometown, by the end of 2017.
