Oliver Pabst is stepping down as CEO of Swiss sport apparel and equipment brand Mammut. In the wake of the brand’s acquisition by Telemos Capital from the Conzzeta group, Mammut AG’s board of directors and Oliver Pabst “jointly decided to start this new chapter under a new management,” according to a statement by the Swiss sport brand.

While Mammut is looking for a successor, Greg Nieuwenhuys, the chairman of the brand's board of directors, is taking over the departing CEO’s duties.

Pabst joined Mammut in 2016, after a stint on the board of directors of German mountain sport brand Bogner. Over the last five years, he has greatly contributed to the development of the company in several domains, spearheading its internationalisation, digital transition and sustainability drive. Mammut’s board has also praised his composure during the Covid-19 crisis.

Pabst will retain a seat on the Mammut board.

“This change of ownership marks the beginning of a new era. Greg and the Telemos Capital team know and appreciate Mammut’s Swiss DNA and fantastic assets. I am convinced that, together with Mammut's staff and driven by innovative ideas, they will lead the company toward a prosperous future,” commented Pabst.
