Dutch tech firm PixelPool has won the Fashion Innovation Award sponsored by Bally for its software-as-a-service platform Dtail and other technologies.

It was among 107 international companies that presented 3D technologies addressing Bally’s call for a solution that could "boost customer experience and operational efficiencies”.
It came top following a concluding round in which 12 finalists presented to a panel of judges that included representatives from Bally's senior team, as well as leaders from major tech and finance firms.
Gary Plunkett, PiexelPool’s Chief Commercial Officer, presented its combination of 3D modelling and hosting services, and Dtail, its interactive virtual showroom platform.
It’s a cloud-based visualisation platform that “drives efficiencies throughout a client’s business from process all the way to carbon footprint”. It enables fashion brands to plan, visualise and sell their collections by linking product data to 3D virtual samples and sync those assets to a virtual showroom.
This allows brands to completely move away from their physical going-to-market processes and switch to digital.
On finals day, the team was able to create 3D models of each of the styles shown in the Dtail showroom only by referencing images from the Bally website.
Plunkett said: “The Bally brand has a beautiful heritage and I was incredibly impressed by their transparency when it comes to sustainability. It’s part of the reason we decided to join the pitch. Our Dtail platform lives in the space between inspiration and commercialisation, allowing you to go smarter to market and have a positive impact on your carbon footprint. I thought if sustainability is that important to them, we need a seat at the table as we can help make digital innovation a part of their incredible heritage and further their sustainability ambitions.”
