Presented at London Fashion Week on Saturday at the Kimpton Fitzroy London, the see now, by now collaboration with House of Christian Lacroix solidifies Rixo’s cult status despite its short history.

Founded less than five years ago by best friends Henrietta Rix & Orlagh McCloskey, Rixo is one of London’s most coveted premium brands, building a reputation for exclusive-looking, vintage-inspired pieces at non-exclusive, affordable prices.

The latest collection sees Rixo delve deeper into this aesthetic by incorporating signature prints from House of Christian Lacroix’s vintage archives. With a distinctive feminine feel and Rixo’s eclectic print combinations, the collection consists of 19 elevated ready-to-wear looks.

In an effort to remain sustainable and special, the capsule range has been released in limited numbers, with only 50 pieces of each style going on sale.

Commenting on the collaboration, Henrietta Rix, co-founder of Rixo said: “At just four years into Rixo, it’s amazing to see how open and forward-thinking our favourite historic fashion house is to collaborating with an emerging contemporary brand.

“It was a dream come true when we saw the email hit our inbox (literally sent shivers up our spine!) – we screeched with excitement and set up a coffee date with the team immediately. The beauty of not having investors and being female founders is that we can follow our instincts– when we’re passionate about something and know in our gut it’s right, we jump in head first and go straight to work. It’s been the biggest pinch me moment of Rixo so far!”

Orlagh McCloskey, Rixo co-founder, added: “Being let loose in the House of Christian Lacroix archive in Paris to delve into the true history and DNA of the brand was awe-inspiring. The Lacroix DNA is so in tune with Rixo’s – their vibrant visual prints and their completely individual and empowering viewpoint on style- it felt natural to collaborate.”

The collection is available to buy in-store and online with Rixo and Browns, as well as at Galeries Lafayette Champs Elysees Paris concept.
