On Wednesday it was confirmed that the world famous downtown Manhattan skate shop, Supreme, will open a new store in Paris.

Mark “Gonz” Gonzelez, a long-time Supreme affiliate, indirectly confirmed the news in an interview with Breaks magazine, stating that he was “working on a new sculpture for the Supreme store in Paris.”

Gonzales has appeared in a number of editorials for the brand and created sculptures for the London and Shibuya, Tokyo stores.

The 21-year old store opened the doors to its first location on Lafayette Street in 1994 and has since become the poster brand for youth culture. The brand currently has one other store in the US, in Los Angeles, a store in London, and six stores in Japan, in Tokyo.

This year, the brand’s creative director, Brandon Babenzien, parted ways to focus on his label, Noah. He first launched the brand in 2002 but not meeting with much success he was forced to shut it down in 2007, at which point he returned to the helm of Supreme.

Supreme has yet to confirm the news itself but hopefully will do so along with a few details...
