US ready-to-wear label Tommy Hilfiger has picked the musician/producer duo Alex Pall and Andrew Taggart, aka The Chainsmokers, as its new menswear brand ambassadors worldwide. They will first feature in the autumn 2017 advertising campaign.

The Chainsmokers recently scooped the 2017 Grammy Award for Best Dance Track with their single 'Don't Let Me Down'.

"The Chainsmokers are an established contemporary pop culture icon, and their music resonates with a large worldwide audience. I admire the way they were able to carve a niche for themselves, blending indie rock, pop, dance music and hip-hop. Alex and Drew are a perfect fit with the contemporary profile of Tommy menswear», said Tommy Hilfiger.

The duo will embody all of Tommy Hilfiger’s men’s collections: Hilfiger Edition, Tommy Hilfiger Tailored and Tommy Hilfiger sportswear.

The first advertising campaign featuring the musical duo was shot by Lachlan Bailey in San Francisco, and will focus on the fashion label's 1990s-inspired menswear collections. The campaign will run online and on posters and magazines.

"Just like Tommy Hilfiger does, we have always believed in putting the accent on individuality and in the need for thinking outside the box. Tommy has paved the way to a series of collaborations between fashion and music, and we are delighted to be able to work for a brand whose artistic approach we share," said the duo.
