Ssense Montreal has worked together with Louis Vuitton men's artistic director Virgil Abloh to recreate the designer's personal Chicago studio in an exhibition called "Cutting Room Floor."

According to Ssense's website, the exhibit provides "a never-before-seen view into the artist's inner workings," and is a "1:1 recreation of Abloh's home studio, the entire contents of which have been excised and transplanted."

Cutting Room Floor is designed to shed light onto Abloh's creative process. The replica studio features DJ equipment, shoe boxes, personal effects and papers strewn about the space with hand sketches, in an effort to give guests an insight into Abloh's personal sources of inspiration.

The exhibition showcases products of Abloh's design collaborations with Nike and NASA. A Supreme x Public Enemy rug and Abloh's Off White x Rimowa luggage are also on display, as are a collection of Off White snowboards.

Ssense goes on to explain that Cutting Room Floor probes "the increasingly murky waters between art and commerce."

In addition to branded "facsimilies" of items in the exhibit that are being sold as limited-edition collector pieces, an artist-designed exclusive t-shirt, poster and an exhibition catalogue are available for purchase at the exhibition as well as online.

The exhibit is now open at Ssense Montreal. It runs through July 29th.
