Moncler Gamme Rouge - Collection spring/summer 2015 in Paris (with interview)

The city, the sea, travels, and urban life : for the Moncler Gamme Rouge line, Giambattista Valli plays with a mix of codes by creating ultra modern, and very light looks that revolve around shorts, miniskirts, bermudas, or tunic dresses which you can just wear over culottes and bodies. With navy caps worn on the heads, the girls and boys take to the sea, wearing a sparkling wardrobe, like reflections in the water, and printed anchors and chains, or extremely light parkas, which look like shirts, jumpers and cropped t-shirts with bands of mink fur. Unless you prefer the ultra feminine printed roses and the lace in red and white to play on the bridge of the boat, asleep in the sun…Interview: Giambattista Valli: The brilliance reflects the swimming pool. So we have the idea of the pool, mixed with the idea of a young Jane Birkin, found between the Riviera, St Tropez and the avenues of New York. There is a summer feel as well as holidays, but also an urban side, and I tried to mix it all by finding a balance between the two. And I always do a huge amount of research with the support of Moncler, to find the materials, textures from my universe that are kind of unique combined with some very technical fabrics with some very technical research and finishes and it’s beautiful to see how far we can go. It’s like the sailing boats on the sea, when we have regattas, that are displayed on the screens as well, I love it because it has an androgynous side to Moncler Gamme Rouge, a very sporty Moncler with clothes which you can share between a girlfriend and boyfriend.
